Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using any NammaRaidu service.

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of NammaRaidu — a multi-service platform offering food delivery, grocery delivery, laundry service, bike taxi, and parcel delivery in Ariyalur, Tamil Nadu. These terms apply to the User App, Rider App, and website (nammaraidu.com). By using any of our services, you agree to all terms below.

If you are a rider or delivery partner, additional rider-specific terms apply — see the Rider Terms section below.

Service-Specific Terms

Each service operates under its own specific conditions in addition to the General Terms below.

🍱 Food Delivery

  • Food orders are prepared by independent restaurant partners. NammaRaidu acts as a technology intermediary connecting customers with restaurants and is not responsible for food preparation.
  • Estimated delivery times are indicative and may vary based on restaurant preparation time, order volume, traffic, and weather conditions. NammaRaidu does not guarantee delivery within a specific time.
  • Once a restaurant has accepted and started preparing your order, cancellation may not be possible. Cancellation requests before restaurant confirmation will be processed with a full refund.
  • Quality, taste, hygiene, portion size, and packaging of food items are the sole responsibility of the respective restaurant partner. NammaRaidu is not liable for food quality disputes.
  • Customisation requests (e.g. no onions, less spice, extra sauce) are communicated to the restaurant but cannot be guaranteed.
  • Perishable food items are non-refundable once delivered. Refunds for incorrect, missing, or damaged items must be raised within 30 minutes of delivery with clear photo evidence through the app.
  • Restaurant menus, prices, and availability may change without prior notice. The price shown at checkout is the final price.
  • NammaRaidu reserves the right to delist restaurants that consistently receive low hygiene or quality ratings.

🛒 Grocery Delivery

  • Grocery orders are fulfilled by our partner stores. Product availability is subject to actual stock at the time of order and may differ from what is displayed.
  • If an item is out of stock after order placement, NammaRaidu may substitute it with a similar product of equal or greater value, or remove it and adjust your bill accordingly. You will be notified of any changes.
  • Fresh produce (vegetables, fruits, dairy) may vary slightly in weight or appearance from images shown. Bills for weighed items will reflect the actual weight.
  • Perishable items once delivered are non-returnable unless they are visibly damaged, expired, or incorrect — in which case a refund or replacement must be requested within 2 hours of delivery.
  • Non-perishable items in original sealed packaging may be returned within 24 hours of delivery if unopened and in original condition.
  • Delivery charges are displayed clearly before checkout and are non-refundable once the order has been dispatched.

👕 Laundry Service

  • Laundry services are provided by independent partner laundry stores. NammaRaidu facilitates pickup and delivery only — the actual cleaning is performed by the partner store.
  • Customers must ensure all clothing is free of valuables (jewellery, cash, cards, keys, documents) before handover. NammaRaidu and partner stores are not liable for any items found in clothing.
  • Delicate, dry-clean-only, hand-wash-only, or special-care garments must be clearly declared at the time of pickup. Items not declared as delicate will be processed using standard washing — any resulting damage is not covered.
  • Colour bleeding, shrinkage, or fabric damage may occasionally occur with certain garments during standard washing. By handing over clothing, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
  • Estimated turnaround time is 24–48 hours depending on the partner store and order volume. Express or same-day service may be available at additional cost.
  • Lost clothing must be reported within 24 hours of delivery with a detailed description. Compensation, if applicable, will be limited to the current resale market value of the item up to a maximum amount as determined by NammaRaidu.
  • Stain removal is attempted but cannot be guaranteed. Items with persistent stains will be returned cleaned to the extent possible, with the stain condition noted.

🏍️ Bike Taxi

  • Bike taxi services connect passengers with verified independent riders. NammaRaidu is a technology platform and is not a transportation company or taxi operator.
  • All riders are verified, hold a valid driving licence, and are background-checked before onboarding on our platform.
  • Helmets are mandatory for passengers during the ride. Riders are required to carry a spare helmet. Passengers who refuse to wear a helmet may be denied service without refund.
  • Fares are calculated based on distance, duration, vehicle category (Bike/Auto/Mini/Sedan), AC surcharge (if applicable), and any applicable waiting or surge charges during peak hours.
  • Riders will wait up to 15 minutes free of charge at the pickup point. Waiting charges apply after this period at the rates displayed in the app.
  • Passengers must not request the rider to violate traffic laws, exceed speed limits, take unsafe or unauthorised routes, or carry prohibited items.
  • A trip OTP is generated for passenger boarding. Passengers must provide this OTP to the rider before the trip begins.
  • Share Ride feature is available as a safety measure — passengers are strongly encouraged to share trip details with a trusted contact during the ride.
  • Lost items in a bike taxi vehicle should be reported immediately through the app. NammaRaidu will make reasonable efforts to assist in recovery but cannot guarantee retrieval.
  • NammaRaidu riders are independent contractors. They are not employees, agents, or partners of NammaRaidu.

📦 Parcel Delivery

  • NammaRaidu facilitates parcel delivery within the Ariyalur district only. Inter-city, interstate, or international delivery is not currently supported.
  • Customers must ensure parcels are securely and appropriately packaged before handover. NammaRaidu is not responsible for damage caused by inadequate or improper packaging.
  • The following items are strictly prohibited and may not be sent via NammaRaidu: illegal substances, flammable or hazardous materials, perishable food without sealed packaging, weapons or ammunition, live animals, counterfeit goods, currency notes or coins, and items banned under Indian law.
  • High-value items (jewellery, electronics, or items valued above ₹5,000) must be declared at the time of booking. Undisclosed high-value items are entirely at the sender's risk and are not covered by any compensation or insurance.
  • Parcel dimensions and weight must be accurately declared at the time of booking. Oversize or overweight parcels may be refused by the rider or subject to additional charges.
  • Delivery is confirmed via OTP provided to the recipient, or a delivery photo where OTP is not possible. If the recipient is unavailable after two attempts, the parcel will be returned to the sender and a re-delivery or return charge will apply.
  • NammaRaidu's maximum liability for a damaged or lost parcel is limited to ₹500 or the declared value of the item, whichever is lower. Additional coverage is not currently available.

Rider & Delivery Partner Terms

These additional terms apply specifically to riders and delivery partners using the NammaRaidu Rider App.

🏍️ Rider / Delivery Partner Terms

  • Riders on NammaRaidu are independent contractors, not employees. NammaRaidu does not guarantee a minimum number of orders or earnings.
  • Riders must hold a valid driving licence appropriate for their vehicle category and maintain valid vehicle registration and insurance at all times.
  • Riders must upload accurate documents during onboarding. Providing false or forged documents will result in immediate and permanent account deactivation and may result in legal action.
  • Riders must wear a helmet at all times while on duty and ensure the passenger also wears a helmet during bike taxi trips.
  • Riders must maintain a minimum rating as specified in the app. Accounts falling consistently below this threshold may be temporarily suspended or permanently deactivated.
  • Rider earnings are credited to the in-app wallet after deduction of NammaRaidu's platform commission. Commission rates are displayed in the Rider App and may be updated with 7 days' notice.
  • Withdrawal of earnings to a UPI ID or bank account is subject to verification of bank details and minimum withdrawal limits as displayed in the app.
  • Riders must not accept orders and then cancel repeatedly. High cancellation rates will result in account penalties and potential deactivation.
  • Riders must not engage in: price manipulation, fake orders, abusive behaviour toward customers, tampering with delivery items, or any fraudulent activity. Such actions will result in permanent deactivation and possible legal action.
  • NammaRaidu reserves the right to deactivate any rider account for policy violations, fraud, sustained low ratings, or inactivity, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.

General Terms

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the NammaRaidu User App, Rider App, or website (nammaraidu.com), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions. These terms apply to all users including customers, riders, restaurant partners, grocery stores, and laundry partners. If you do not agree, you must stop using our services immediately.

Platform Role & Limitation of Liability

NammaRaidu is a technology platform that connects customers with independent service providers — restaurants, grocery stores, laundry partners, and riders. NammaRaidu does not directly prepare food, stock grocery items, clean clothes, or provide transportation. The quality, safety, timeliness, and reliability of these services are the responsibility of the respective independent service providers. NammaRaidu's liability is limited as described in Section 9.

User Account & Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use NammaRaidu services. You must provide accurate, truthful, and complete information during registration and keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not create multiple accounts or share your account with others. Accounts found to be fraudulent, inactive for extended periods, or used in violation of these terms may be suspended or permanently deleted.

Order Placement & Confirmation

Placing an order constitutes a purchase offer. The order is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation notification and an order number is generated. NammaRaidu reserves the right to cancel or reject any order at its sole discretion due to: unavailability of service providers, operational issues, suspected fraud, incorrect pricing, or force majeure events. In cases where NammaRaidu initiates a cancellation, a full refund will be issued.

Pricing, Taxes & Payment

All prices displayed include applicable taxes (GST) unless stated otherwise. Prices for individual items are set by restaurant or store partners and may change without notice — the price shown at checkout is final. Delivery charges, surge fees, and waiting charges (where applicable) are displayed transparently before you confirm the order. Accepted payment methods: cash on delivery, UPI, and NammaRaidu in-app wallet. NammaRaidu does not store any credit card, debit card, or net banking information on its servers.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation windows and eligibility vary by service — see the service-specific sections above. Refunds are processed to the original payment method or NammaRaidu wallet within 5–7 business days. Wallet refunds are credited instantly. Cash orders cancelled after the rider has been assigned are not eligible for refunds. NammaRaidu reserves the right to deduct a cancellation fee in cases of repeated cancellations or late-stage cancellations. Promotional credits and vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Promotions, Coupons & Wallet

NammaRaidu may offer promotional discounts, coupon codes, and wallet credits from time to time. These offers are subject to specific terms including: validity periods, minimum order values, service restrictions, and one-time-per-user limitations. Misuse of promotional offers — including creating multiple accounts to claim offers multiple times — is strictly prohibited and will result in account suspension and forfeiture of credits. Wallet balance does not earn interest and is not redeemable for cash.

Conduct & Prohibited Activities

Users must treat all riders, delivery agents, restaurant staff, and customer support team members with respect and dignity. The following are strictly prohibited on our platform: abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or violent behaviour; placing fraudulent or fake orders; misuse of promotional offers; attempting to access another user's account; scraping, reverse-engineering, or copying the app; using the platform for any illegal purpose; harassing or intimidating riders or delivery agents. Violations may result in immediate account termination and referral to law enforcement.

Limitation of Liability

NammaRaidu's maximum total liability to you for any single claim arising from use of our platform shall not exceed the value of the specific order or transaction in question. We are not liable for: indirect, consequential, or punitive losses; loss of profits or business opportunities; delays caused by traffic, weather, road conditions, or force majeure; actions, omissions, or negligence of independent service providers (restaurants, riders, stores); technical failures, downtime, or errors beyond our reasonable control; or any loss arising from your own misuse of the platform.

Intellectual Property

All content on the NammaRaidu platform — including but not limited to the app interface, logo, brand name, trademarks, service icons, text, graphics, and underlying code — is the intellectual property of NammaRaidu and is protected under the Trade Marks Act 1999, Copyright Act 1957, and other applicable Indian and international laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from any NammaRaidu content without prior written consent.

Privacy & Data Protection

Your use of NammaRaidu is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference and forms part of this agreement. By using our services, you consent to the collection, use, and processing of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy is available at nammaraidu.com/privacy.

Termination

NammaRaidu may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for: violation of these Terms, fraudulent or illegal activity, abusive behaviour toward service providers, creating multiple accounts, or for operational reasons. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Pending orders at the time of account closure will be fulfilled or cancelled at NammaRaidu's discretion.

Amendments to Terms

NammaRaidu reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notification or email at least 7 days before taking effect. Your continued use of NammaRaidu services after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using our services and may delete your account.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act 2000, Consumer Protection Act 2019, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ariyalur, Tamil Nadu, India.
