Driver/Partner Terms — Car Taxi & Auto

Terms specific to independent Car Taxi and Auto driver partners on the NammaRaidu platform.

This page sets out the terms specific to Car Taxi and Auto driver partners. It applies together with the general NammaRaidu Terms & Conditions. If you deliver Food, Grocery or Parcel orders, see the Delivery Rider & Partner Terms section of the Terms & Conditions instead.

Quick summary: you collect the trip fare in cash directly from the passenger, and separately pay NammaRaidu a 5% platform commission on each completed trip.

Who This Applies To

This Driver/Partner Terms document applies specifically to independent driver partners who offer Car Taxi or Auto-rickshaw rides through the NammaRaidu platform. It is in addition to, and should be read together with, the general NammaRaidu Terms & Conditions. If you deliver food, grocery or parcel orders instead of (or in addition to) driving passengers, the separate "Delivery Rider & Partner Terms" section of the Terms & Conditions also applies to that activity.

Your Relationship with NammaRaidu

NammaRaidu is a technology platform operated by Shabytes Technologies (OPC) Private Limited that connects passengers with independent Car Taxi and Auto driver partners. As a driver partner, you are an independent contractor — you are not an employee, agent, or legal partner of NammaRaidu. You determine your own working hours and are free to accept or decline individual ride requests, subject to the platform's normal cancellation-rate policies. NammaRaidu does not own or operate your vehicle and does not guarantee any minimum number of rides or earnings.

Vehicle & Document Compliance

You are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining, at all times while active on the platform, all documents, registrations, and authorisations required by applicable law for your vehicle and for offering passenger transportation services, including but not limited to: a valid driving licence for the relevant vehicle category, a valid Registration Certificate (RC), a valid permit (including any commercial/transport or aggregator-linked permit required for your vehicle category), a valid Certificate of Insurance, a valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate, and a valid Fitness Certificate where applicable to your vehicle. You must upload true, current copies of these documents during onboarding and whenever they are renewed or updated. Providing false, forged, or expired documents is a serious violation of these terms.

Verification, Suspension & Removal

NammaRaidu reserves the right to verify, and to periodically re-verify, your documents and eligibility before and during your use of the platform. If any required document is missing, expired, or found to be invalid, NammaRaidu may suspend or remove your account and restrict your ability to accept ride requests until the issue is resolved. This right is exercised to help maintain baseline compliance on the platform — it does not shift your independent legal responsibility for compliance with applicable law, nor does it make NammaRaidu the guarantor of your compliance.

How Trips & Payment Collection Work

When you accept a Car Taxi or Auto ride request, you agree to collect the trip fare directly from the passenger in cash, at the end of the trip. NammaRaidu does not collect, hold, or process the passenger trip fare on your behalf, and does not currently offer online fare collection for these rides. Any fare shown to you or the passenger in the app before or during the trip is an indicative estimate — the amount you are entitled to collect from the passenger is governed by the applicable fare structure communicated to you in-app and by applicable law.

Platform / Service Commission

In exchange for the technology, lead-generation, and matching services NammaRaidu provides, you agree to pay NammaRaidu a platform/service commission currently set at 5% of the fare for each completed trip, subject to the final commercial agreement between you and NammaRaidu and any applicable taxes. This commission is your obligation as a driver partner — it is not collected from the passenger and is not deducted by NammaRaidu from any passenger payment, because NammaRaidu does not collect the passenger fare. Where technically available, you may maintain a prepaid platform balance in the Driver App from which this commission is automatically adjusted after each completed trip; this balance reflects your commercial account with NammaRaidu only and is not a customer-money wallet, escrow account, or passenger-fare account. Commission rates and any applicable taxes may be updated with reasonable prior notice through the Driver App.

Driver Conduct & Safety

You must treat passengers with courtesy and respect, drive safely and in accordance with applicable traffic laws, and not request or accept payment beyond the applicable fare. You must not engage in fraudulent trip activity, fake rides, abusive behaviour, or any conduct that endangers passenger safety. Repeated cancellations after accepting a ride, or consistently low passenger ratings, may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the platform.

Currently Available Vehicle Categories

At present, driver partners may offer rides on NammaRaidu only using an eligible Car or Auto-rickshaw. Two-wheeler / bike-based passenger transport ("bike taxi") is not currently supported on the platform. NammaRaidu may introduce additional vehicle categories in the future, subject to confirming applicable legal, licensing, and regulatory requirements; any such expansion will be communicated separately to driver partners before it takes effect.

Governing Law

These Driver/Partner Terms are governed by the laws of India, including the Motor Vehicles Act 1988, applicable Motor Vehicle Aggregator Guidelines, the Information Technology Act 2000, and applicable Tamil Nadu motor vehicle and transport regulations, to the extent each applies. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ariyalur, Tamil Nadu, India, after a good-faith attempt at negotiated resolution.
